Social media can be a real challenge – with its massive numbers, but low click through rates means it’s not always a great channel for many advertisers. Have a look at some of these facts:

  • The average click through rate of display ads is 0.1%
  • The Human attention span shortened from 12 seconds in 2000 to 8 seconds in 2013
  • 59% of online traffic is not human traffic, but query-focused bots
  • In 2015 the number of ad blockers rose from 54 milllion to 121 million

To get through all this you have to be relevant, real and realistic.
